Anxiety, Depression and Trauma Counselling

Empowering Personal Growth

If you’re feeling stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or weighed down by the past, you’re not alone. Life can be incredibly hard at times, and it’s okay to reach out for support.

Nadine Langford, Online Counsellor

I offer one-to-one online counselling for anxiety, depression, major life changes, trauma, or relationship challenges. Maybe you’ve lost motivation or find yourself wondering what happiness really means to you. Together, we create a space where you can pause, feel heard, and begin to make sense of things.

Your story is unique, and your therapy will reflect that. It's a space for you to find clarity and to understand yourself better so you feel more able to move forward.

Working Together

We’ll begin by exploring the issues you’re facing right now and if helpful, we’ll also look at your past to understand how early experiences shape your current behaviours and thoughts.

Many symptoms of anxiety, low mood or disconnection are normal responses to trauma. I bring a deep understanding of how trauma, especially childhood abuse, coercive control, and domestic violence, can affect the nervous system and sense of self.

Some people reach a point in life where they feel lost, unsure of who they are or what direction to take. Maybe the things that once brought joy no longer feel meaningful. If that’s where you are, we’ll spend time exploring what matters to you, and rediscover what makes you feel alive. You'll feel more focused and motivated to live a life that brings you happiness.

Together, we’ll build awareness, develop practical tools, and gently reshape any unhelpful patterns. Psychoeducation will also form part of our time together.

The hope is for you to experience a sense of relief, and feel more empowered to progress towards a more fulfilling life.

What I Can Help With

About Me

My interest in people began with studying psychology at university, but really, it’s been a lifelong thread. I come to this work not just with training, but with real-life experience of what it means to face challenges and grow through them.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck, unsure where to turn, and to hit a point in life where something needs to change. I’ve done the work to understand the patterns I was repeating and the early experiences that shaped me. And while that process wasn’t easy, it’s what led me to a stronger, more grounded place.

I've faced unhealthy and abusive relationships, and spent a lot of time learning to quiet the inner critic and replace it with something more compassionate. What I’ve learned is that with the right support, knowledge and tools, healing is not only possible, it can be life changing. I’ve also been through the emotional toll of fertility challenges, which taught me a lot about holding grief, hope, and uncertainty all at once.

I’ve spent years working in the mental health sector supporting people through crisis and recovery with organisations that include a domestic abuse charity for women, MIND, and a mental health charity. These experiences have deepened my understanding of what people go through and how powerful it can be to speak to someone who really gets it.

At Nadine Langford Counselling, I offer integrative therapy, drawing from person-centred, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches. This means I tailor our work to suit you. Your pace, your needs, your goals.

I’ve supported people from all walks of life to move through pain, understand themselves more deeply, and start creating the kind of life they want to live. It’s not always easy, but with commitment and care, change is absolutely possible. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and therapy can help you find it.

When I’m not working, I prioritise ongoing learning, self-reflection, time in nature, and the practices that help me stay grounded because I believe we all deserve space to grow.

I look forward to meeting you.

How It Works

Online Counselling

Initial Consultation

The first step is a free, informal chat over video call. It’s a chance for you to tell me a bit about what’s been going on and what you’d like support with. You can also ask any questions or raise any concerns you might have. There’s no pressure or commitment—just space to see if this feels like the right fit for you.

Online Counselling

Ongoing Sessions

If you decide to go ahead, we’ll usually meet once a week up to 1 hour. This gives time for reflection between sessions and, sometimes, space for gentle activities or tools you can use outside  therapy.

Online Counselling

At Your Pace

There’s no set number of sessions—it really depends on your personal situation, which we’ll talk about  together.
